It has to start somewhere, if it's going to start

Hello my friends and family, I'm venturing out into yet another means of communication--blogging. One more thing to keep up with?? We'll see how this goes. I'm going to keep it simple.
We're taking a trip to Portland this week, and I look forward to that. Brad W. and Char S. are getting married on Saturday, and we will get to be at their wedding. That alone makes a trip to Portland worthwhile, but it looks like we'll be making every minute of our 44 hour visit count: dental appointments, a visit with the soon-to-be newlyweds, family visits (between the two of us, the visits may cover Portland, Boring, The Dalles and Camas!), a workers gathering to welcome Jim G. and Jari D. home from the Philippines and Pakistan, a wedding rehearsal...oh yeah, and the wedding.
I was resting a lot over the weekend (had/have a little cold), and what a treat to have such gorgeous weather on Saturday--86 degrees! I enjoyed taking my rest outdoors for the afternoon. I started reading a book that I'm really enjoying, "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living." It's a good one, lots of practical advice. I was able to be in our meetings Sunday in Yoncalla and Myrtle Creek. I was so glad I didn't have to miss out on that.
I have a digital camera now, so be warned, one of these days this blog might contain photos. Hopefully soon!
46 days until Linda and I fly to eastern Canada for six weeks of conventions!!
