Helpers and Encouragers

I was so glad for the help that came our way on Sunday. Linda was in Boise for her Aunt Nancy's funeral. Margaret came and spent the weekend with me at LiaBraatens' and helped in the Yoncalla meeting on Sunday afternoon. Always a treat to have her around.

We had some extras in that meeting--Craig and Shereen, and Allen and Lisi all came and brought Ron and Nelita Combe. It was so nice to have them in the meeting. After meeting we ate a hasty picnic supper together before I headed off to Myrtle Creek for our evening Gospel meeting (Margaret went home with LiaBraatens). We had a lovely little spot for our picnic--we got showered with petals by a beautiful pink flowering tree. I like the picture from our picnic, but the picture I took with me in my heart was the picture of them all standing to wave me off as I drove off for Myrtle Creek, I felt very encouraged knowing their thoughts and prayers were going with me! These were some of the encouragers of the day.

Brandon and Doyle proved (again) to be terrific brothers, in coming to help in the meeting at Myrtle Creek. Not long ago we had a hike with these brothers and some Medford ladies. For part of the hike, I carried a backpack with sunflower seeds in it. Brandon asked several times to get into the pack and get some of the community seeds. That was fine with me, but the end of the hike we discovered that several large rocks had been added to my backpack!! So Sunday I told Brandon we are more than even, after they came to help in our meeting. I'd carry extra rocks for them any day. : ) Linda and I were very thankful for the excellent helpers we had in Margaret, Doyle and Brandon.

30 days until we leave for Canada! : )
