November

I'm going to try to update this blog a bit...starting where I left off last fall.
Sandy Denning and Nola Bullick came to visit for a couple of nights, and we had great times together. One highlight was a skype call with Adri L.

Grandma Burmeister turned 83 in November. Grandpa is 91. They live in Belleville, IL.

Ken and Peggy were helping us identify the source of a leak in our car. It was a hilarious hour that we spent there after meeting one Wednesday. Peggy thoroughly cleaned our floormat, while Ken and I found the source of the leak and he had a solution for us: Duct Tape!! Meanwhile Barb was stuck in the car because we were parked so close to garage wall. We were almost sorry to get things fixed, we thought the duct tape added tremendous character.

Barb and I were getting ready to greet Cheryl, BJ and Becky at a house in Yachatz, so we changed these rocks from "Regis" to "Cheryl" as part of the welcome, but we're not sure she ever noticed! : ) We had fun anyway.

Cheryl was saying to us, "See, I CAN cook!" We loved this shot of her in the kitchen.
(I don't know how to get rid of this underline thing, wish I had something more noteworthy to say!)

BJ relaxing with her new Harley Davidson mug.
We were all out trying to capture the sunset, but I enjoyed capturing my friends too, BJ and Becky here.

There were some neat tide pools on the beach down below the house.

Mel and Willie got two elk, and they were cutting them up when we arrived at their home, so I got to help with the project. But Cassie wouldn't let me pull an all-nighter with them, they finished at 3:30 AM, I think.

Betty Ann visited in our field a bit, staying with Waldos. We enjoyed her help in the meetings. Here Rob is holding Tricky Wu (spelling?) like a baby, and entertaining us all.

Linda G. and I had a couple of nights together over Thanksgiving on the bayfront in Newport. What a view! This sunset kept getting more and more magnificent!

Linda and I ran into Mike Jones, below right, on the bayfront at Newport. That was a nice surprise! He was getting ready to go out crabbing. This is his Skipper, John, and their boat, the Stillwater. Mike was able to make it to some fellowship meetings in Newport during the season, and John came with him some too.

I decided at the last minute to join my family on the day after Thanksgiving. My mom, sis and cousin Lori and Lori's friend Greg were together at Aunt Wilma's (my grandpa's sister). We got to try on our great-grandma Anderson's clothes, and had great fun! We all loved the outfit Michelle came up with--and the hat! She and Lori decided to share it.
Michelle and Lori are trying, unsuccessfully here, to pose with sober faces for the camera. : ) The two blouses, the hat and purse, and the skirt Michelle is wearing, came from a trunk Mom found in Grandpa and Grandma's attic last December. The trunk was full of Grandma Dora's things. Grandma Dora was my grandma's mother, and passed away when Grandma was 16 months old.
